Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Reminderly, a WhatsApp-based productivity assistant operated by Matpack Industries ("Reminderly", "we", "us"). By messaging the Reminderly bot on WhatsApp or signing up at reminderly.ai, you agree to these Terms.

The short version. Use Reminderly to organise your own life; don't use it to spam, impersonate others, or break the law. We try hard to keep the service running but can't guarantee it's perfect. Paid plans renew monthly or annually; cancel any time and you keep access until the period ends.

1. What Reminderly is

Reminderly is a chat-based productivity assistant. It accepts natural-language commands on WhatsApp and helps you set reminders, manage to-dos, track habits, and sync your calendar (Google or Outlook). Some features are AI-assisted using a third-party language model (Anthropic Claude).

2. Who can use it

You must be at least 13 years old. If you're under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission.
You must give us a working WhatsApp number that you control.
You agree to comply with WhatsApp's Terms of Service and any laws applicable to where you live.

3. Your account

Your "account" is the user record we keep, keyed to your WhatsApp phone number. You're responsible for keeping your phone secure — if someone else can message Reminderly from your WhatsApp, they can read your reminders. If your phone is lost or stolen, email us at hello@reminderly.ai and we can lock the account.

4. Acceptable use

Don't use Reminderly to:

Send spam, harassment, or unwanted messages to anyone.
Impersonate another person or claim a phone number you don't control.
Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to disrupt the service.
Submit content that's illegal, harmful, hateful, or violates someone else's rights.
Resell access to Reminderly without our written permission.
Use the "friend reminder" share feature to send unsolicited promotional messages.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

5. Subscriptions and payment

5.1 Plans and pricing

Reminderly offers a free trial and paid subscription plans. Current pricing is shown at reminderly.ai/#pricing. We may change prices for new subscribers at any time; existing subscribers will keep their current rate for at least the remainder of their current billing period plus 30 days.

5.2 Billing

Payments are processed by Razorpay (for customers in India) or Stripe (international). We never see or store your card details. Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled.

5.3 Refunds

If you cancel within 7 days of your first paid charge and you've used the service in good faith (i.e., not exceeded heavy usage), we'll refund the charge in full. After 7 days, payments are non-refundable, but you'll continue to have full access until the period ends.

5.4 Cancelling

Cancel anytime by messaging the bot: cancel subscription. You'll keep paid access until the end of your current billing period, after which you'll move to the free tier.

6. Third-party integrations

If you connect a Google or Microsoft account, your use of those services is also subject to those companies' own terms. Reminderly accesses only the data described in our Privacy Policy — calendar events and the connected account's email address. You can disconnect at any time via the bot or at Google permissions / Microsoft permissions.

7. Service availability

We aim for 99% uptime but don't guarantee it. Maintenance, infrastructure failures, WhatsApp / Meta outages, and third-party provider issues can interrupt service. We're not liable for missed reminders caused by external service disruptions. We recommend treating Reminderly as a useful tool, not as your single point of truth for time-critical events (use a backup for anything safety-critical).

8. Intellectual property

The Reminderly software, logo, brand, and content on reminderly.ai are ours. You may not copy or redistribute them. The reminders, todos, habits, and other content YOU create remain yours — we just store and operate on them on your behalf.

9. AI-generated responses

Some bot responses are generated by AI models (Anthropic Claude). AI output can occasionally be wrong, misinterpret your intent, or produce unexpected results. Don't rely solely on AI-generated content for important decisions. If you spot an issue, message feedback followed by the problem and we'll review.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Reminderly and Matpack Industries are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages — including missed appointments, lost data, or business losses — arising from your use of Reminderly. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

11. Termination

You can stop using Reminderly at any time. We can suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms, suspected fraud, or extended inactivity (12+ months on the free tier). On termination, we delete your data within 30 days as described in the Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to these Terms

If we change these Terms materially, we'll notify you on WhatsApp at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use of Reminderly after that period means you accept the new Terms. If you don't agree, message stop and cancel any paid subscription.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
